So I decided that the antenna I made for my car looked like a bird built it, then ate it, then shat it out.  To remedy this I went out and bought a short antenna off the interwebs.  I used one that I found from carccessory.com.  Yes it does say Eurostick on it.

The picture shows silver, but it's clearly black

It comes with two metal two way screws and one plastic one (I don't know why plastic, but whatever).  I would think that the plastic screw would convey less signal than metal, and therefore deliver worse reception - but I'm not a radio expert so who knows.  Anyways, plastic is what I ended up having to use.  I would tell you about the reception difference but I haven't had a chance to use FM/AM yet (it's only been 3 months).  I use this awesome technology called satellite radio.  It's beamed down from the heavens straight to my car, you can read all about it here.  So there you have it, the thing is more shiny than the matte black base, but it's hard to tell.

So I traded off the better color matching of the antenna that I made for this shiny one, but this shiny one looks at least a little better than the one I made.  I'll post some pics later on (probably not).
